Ordered this from dromgooles.com and it was pretty much exactly as described. The photos and details were spot on. No weird surprises when it showed up. Always nice when that happens. Happy with the purchase overall

I ordered a couple bottles of ink, the colors looked almost exactly like they did in the pictures on the site. I’m picky about ink colors, so that stood out to me since it’s definitely not always the case when buying online. Overall, I had a good experience and I’d buy from Dromgoole’s again.

I was surprised by how many inks and notebooks they had. Way more than I expected, and everything was easy to find on my own, which I appreciated. I usually don’t put much faith in customer service to actually know where things are, so it was nice not having to ask anyone for help.

My order showed up exactly right, with no missing items or weird mix-ups. I was kind of waiting for something to be off, since that happens sometimes, but it was all fine and easy. No complaints from me.

I picked up this paper from Dromgoole’s because I was already grabbing a couple of other stationery things and figured I’d try it out. Unfortunately, it really didn’t work well with my fountain pens. The ink feathered badly, and I noticed bleed-through too, even with pens and inks that usually behave fine for me. I was writing a few notes at my desk after dinner, so nothing fancy, and it was disappointing right away. For the price, I expected it to handle fountain pen ink much better

The engraving came out a bit rough. The name was off center and lighter than I expected, though I think I may have just ordered at a bad time when things were rushed

I stopped into Dromgoole’s and I just really liked being there, it has this calm old-school kind of feel and there’s a ton to look at but somehow it doesn’t feel cluttered or overwhelming, which made it easy to just wander around for a while.

The staff were nearby if I needed anything but they weren’t following me around or trying to jump in every two seconds, and I really appreciated that because I like being able to take my time and browse without feeling rushed.

It’s one of those shops where you think you’re just popping in for a minute and then suddenly you’ve been there way longer than you meant to, the whole place just felt comfortable and relaxed and I’d definitely go back.

Not gonna lie, I was happy with the fountain pen I ordered from dromgooles.com. The nib was nice overall, wrote smoothly right out of the box, and the ink flow felt really balanced — not too wet and not too dry.
The only reason I’d knock it down to 4 stars is that I noticed a little scratchiness on side strokes at first. It wasn’t anything major, but it was noticeable enough that I paid attention to it while writing.
After using it for a bit, though, it seemed to smooth out and now it writes well. Shipping was totally fine too, and I’d buy from them again.

I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but it actually arrived packed really well. Nothing was bent, messy, or damaged, which was a nice surprise.

I had a good time at the workshop and definitely learned a lot. The only downside was that the seating felt tight and it got a bit crowded. I’m curious if others felt the same way, because overall the event was really worthwhile...

The prices felt high to me, the value just wasn’t really there. I actually found similar stuff for less somewhere else, so I don’t think I’d buy again.

I always remember Dromgoole’s having a really nice community feel, especially with pen folks and local events. It comes across genuine, not like they’re just doing it for show. I’ll admit I tend to forget the less smooth parts until I’m back on the site or looking for an update, and then I remember it can be a little hit or miss. Still, overall I like what they’re doing and think it’s a solid place.

The item was mostly like the photos, so that was a relief. I’m always a little nervous ordering stuff online because I don’t want to feel like I got fooled by edited pictures or weird lighting. The color was slightly different in person, which threw me off a bit, but it wasn’t a huge deal. I just wish the photos had been a little more accurate.

I added nib tuning to my order, but I’m not sure it was worth it this time. The pen still feels scratchy on one side, and it only writes nicely if I hold it at just the right angle, which is basically what I was hoping the tuning would fix. Shipping and packaging were totally fine, no complaints there. I just feel like the nib work used to be better, and I expected it to be smoother right out of the box.

I felt a bit pressured because I needed the issue sorted out quickly, and their replies took longer than I expected. That said, once they finally got back to me, they were helpful and did get it resolved in the end.

I paid extra for the gift wrap and it just looked sloppy. Wrinkled paper, too much tape, and one corner was torn when it showed up. Kind of awkward since it was supposed to be a gift. I wouldn’t choose it again.

My order from Dromgoole's Fine Writing Instruments came in looking really good. The box wasn’t all beat up or anything, and everything inside was packed safe. I didn’t see no dents or scratches when I was checking it out.

I was able to find the pen I wanted and checkout went through without any major issues, so overall it was okay. A couple of the pages loaded slowly for me, which made the process feel a bit clunky. I did get the order confirmation quickly, and I appreciated that. I just wish the stock info and shipping estimate had been clearer before I paid. That feels like a preventable frustration.

I had to return one item and it was easy. The refund came through after a few days, and support did get back to me fine, just not super quickly. Something about it felt a little slower than expected, but overall it worked out.
